Indiana Leadership Summit

Northwestern Mutual - Indiana was a proud sponsor of the 2004, Indiana Leadership Summit. The event focuses on the urgency for change for the next Indiana.

The 2004 summit’s theme was innovation and how to create a culture of dynamic change. The summit provided a unique opportunity for Northwestern Mutual - Indiana to participate in energetic dialogues, high profile networking and keynote speakers.

Pi Sigma Epsilon at Purdue University

Northwestern Mutual - Indiana has established an alliance with the Purdue University chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon, a professional sales and marketing fraternity.

Northwestern Mutual - Indiana recently sponsored the group’s North Central Regional Conference at Purdue University. Schools from Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky and Michigan attended the conference.

United Way

Northwestern Mutual - Indiana is an annual contributor to the local United Way. We participate in many of the fund-raising activities.

Indiana Children’s Wish Fund

Northwestern Mutual - Indiana supports the Indiana Children´s Wish Fund, an organization that grants wishes to Indiana children between the ages of 3-18 who suffer from life-threatening illnesses.

Christel House Open

Northwestern Mutual - Indiana supports The Christel House Open, a one-day charity golf tournament organized simultaneously at some of the greatest golf courses around the world. The purpose is to raise funds for impoverished, orphaned and abandoned children around the world.

Overseas Troops

Northwestern Mutual - Indiana has several clients who are currently active in the Army Reserve and stationed in Afghanistan. Their Financial Representative, Mr. Chris Barnthouse; retired U.S. Army Major, has frequent contact with their families in the United States and has asked what the soldiers need. For example, one of his clients is an avid reader and asked that we send paperback novels.

Northwestern Mutual - Indiana has an ongoing "Book Drive" for used novels that are forwarded to our clients’ battalion stationed in Afghanistan. In addition, Chris has an ongoing "Book and School Supply Drive" he supports for the military supported development of schools in Afghanistan.
